Hello,
since around two years now I am organizing a growing and growing fan art community project / collaboration on my other dA Group Fighting-Games-Elite.
Like the name hints at already, this group is all about fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and also Beat'em Ups from Final Fight to Dynasty Warriors. In April 2012 I started a project there which has two big differences compared with the other projects like Link's Blacklist here or the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tribute there.
It is not getting published on the website Game-Art-HQ.com and the "quality" is much more varied. The focus of that project is to get more and more different fighting game characters drawn by group members, especially rare drawn game characters. There are over 20 submissions there for characters which had not even one fan art here on dA before and many of them are looking stunning great. So far, over 200 different fighting game characters are covered through this project btw.

Now I thought, maybe we can do something similar here over the time, this would be an art collaboration for fun and for group members only and could be a growing collection of video game fan art by group members. It could focus on games or on game characters.
My part would be to organize it via journals, making rules and guidelines, sometimes providing ideas about what type of characters could be drawn as example and I am also offering to provide ressource material if needed.
There will most likely no coverage for this project on other websites like Kotaku, etc it would much more end up as a challenge for yourself, to show your dedication for a game or game character and to see rarely drawn ones coming together through this group. Submitted artworks would get their own folder for the project andI would also write a journal on a monthly base with the latest submissions to feature them in this group.
What do you think does this all found fun and interesting for you?

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
