Mario's Blacklist is the Name for the next BIG Art Collaboration and basically the Super Mario Bros Series equivalent to Link's Blacklist.
The big focus are again the many enemies and bosses of the complete Mario Universe, ranging from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario World 3D, and all spinoffs like Mario RPG and and and.
As usual since 2014, you the Game-Art-HQ Contributors were able to participate a bit earlier than everyone else!
Rules and standards:
No gore, no sex, lets stick to the original designs.
Every artist can claim exactly one Enemy or Boss character of a Super Mario Game, from the Goomba to Bowser, all enemies and specific designs are allowed
Every enemys /boss can be claimed by only one artist in this first round of the project. If this new art collaboration will continue, the characters can get drawn by more artists just like how we did it in Link's Blacklist
Standards:
With our latest Art Collaborations we raised the bar and also a ton of eyebrows when they saw the artworks which honestly..were badass and put many official game illustrations to shame. You guys created wonderful game related artworks and lets continue being above the standard!
Be it a SMB1 Goomba or Dry Bowser, give your best and illustrate them with a background and a scenery, character illustrations in the png format and a transparent background can be nice too, Bowser in his Castle is just more impressive if done well or?
Mario Luigi or another SMB Protagonist can be part of the image but the focus should be on the enemy, if they get the upper hand in the images, even better!
The deadline is the 30th July

Additional Image(s) accepted:
1st offered his Dry Bowser :thumb454990005:
Characters which were offered by artists for the Project because they drew Mario enemies recently can still be claimed for the project, means Dry Bowser is stilla vailable as example
* Note
Characters like the Goomba, Bowser etc can be claimed by different artists if you choose different games. As example, if Bowser from SMB1 was claimed and would be illustrated throwing Fireballs in his Castle, he can still be claimed as the SMB3 or SMW Boss, but has to look like in those games of course. Similar how we did it with Ganondorf in Link's Blacklist Wario and Wa-luigi and of course Donkey Kong count as well

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the

Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
