Our art collaboration & tribute about the protagonists from the Final Fantasy series for currently 10 characters and 30 artists ends this July and some awesome submissions have been made so far, this is planned to be Game-Art-HQ's 2nd big art project after Link's Blacklist and the progress so far looks really promising already! Take a look at the art made so far:
Like the submissions to LB, these will be featured on Game-Art-HQ.com www.game-art-hq.com in galleries about the characters, the goal is to cover 10 FF characters every 3 Months with every character drawn by three different artists.

The full name of the second Final Fantasy art project by Game Art HQ is: The Warriors of Final Fantasy: "Those who fight further"
This art project is about all the popular..and not so popular Heroes and Protagonists of the Final Fantasy games. Including spinoff games like FF tactics or the Crystal Chronicle ones. From Cloud to Ramza, Quistis Trepe and Rydia, all the heroes can be claimed.
Well..not all of them today, right now..and not by everyone. How boring would it be to have 999 Cloud Strife fan arts which only differ from each other by the size of his spikey hair?
Nay, not on GA-HQ!
This art project will be organized a bit different than previous ones like Link's Blacklist. While i hope it is going to be as big and popular like Link's Blacklist gets a similar level of awesome submissions, let's do it RPG like and start with a small...level. (yes..i am serious)
While Link's Blacklist started last summer with 40 artists. Let's start this one much smaller. Only 10 spots are available. However.... up to two more artists can claim one of the already claimed characters. This allows me to create a gallery for 10 Final Fantasy characters with most likely 2-3 submissions for each characters instead of only one. While it worked easily in Link's Blacklist to just update galleries i rather focus on only 10 characters at a time, create longer articles than before and jump to the next ten in the next ..level of this project.
~
Other rules, every artist can only claim one spot. Only heroes can be claimed in this project, not villains, monsters, antagonists or neutral characters
Since we are all friends of equality, let's have 5 female and 5 male characters.
Not more than three characters from one game could be chosen.
I wanted to organize this project similar to LB before, but honestly..i must admit that it burns me out a bit to work for days and weeks on the same thing ..i lover the big variation of articles i can publish on Game-ArtHQ.com and want to try out a project i work every 6 or 8 weeks on for a couple of days instead of weeks.
After the naming contrest i also got relative many requests already about reserving characters and it seems like some artists are "on fire" to be a part of this project. So yeah..why not i thought, creative Chaos rules
The project starts right now, the final deadline will be Sunday the 5th July!
The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
