This was our maybe silliest contest in the three years but a good dozen of you were able to create nice artworks with the L-Block from Tetris and one of them won a 3-Months dA Premium Account, chosen with the random.org software.
The winner is:
who created a pixel /sprite art of this...character, now make good use of the prize!
I hope all participants had fun creating the artworks, I recommend to have a look at them all in this gallery game-art-hq.deviantart.com/gal…
-----------------------------------
The contest ends today in around 14 hours, the winner will be named on the upcoming Friday, around 10 submissions were made and for the most part they are surprising awesome!
----------------------------
Yes... that L Block which falls down from the sky in Tetris and can be used for...many awesome strategies in...TETRIS!

After the Goomba, the Moogles, Claptrap from Borderlands and Pac-Man this is the latest Character of the Month Challenge on and instead of a few days, this time you have the whole August to submit your take on the L-Block from Tetris.
Also different is that it is a small contest this time, I donate a 3 Month dA Premium Membership account to the winner which gets decided by 5 long-time members of the group.
Have fun drawing this "character" You can be as creative as you want as usual, the only thing not allowed are old drawings and fetish/sex stuff. Cosplays are welcome as well, the L-Block does not have to be drawn, 3D models, Sculptures of any Material etc. are all allowed as well!
You can submit your L-Block Submissions to the "DRAW THE L-BLOCK" Folder Please mention it in the description that you made it for our group and this challenge!

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
