Something happend this week. I dont know why..seriously but we got around 4 times as many submissions as usual..and nearly all of them were pretty good up to being epic!
So its kinda hard to choose only around 5 submissions to feature them and there will be 10 this week.
Also new is that since this month, one of the here featured artists will receive a 1 Month dA Premium Account, the winner will be determined either with tickets or if i find a nice lottery programme to choose. Please fave this journal if you like this weekly journal series on GAHQ
Let's start with this Ganondorf portrait by Robin ROQUE 19 year old hobbyist from France. Seriously this is one of the finest looking Ganondorfs i have seen and absolute Link's Blacklist worthy i believe. His character portrait series looks great!
If there would be an Assassins Creed 3 comic, i wish it would have been in this style and quality. This was made by and . A nice collaboration between German and Spanish Artists!
And one more time for Ganon. I dislike to feature the same character twice in a week, but this beast form Twilight Spirit (yay..i learned a lot through Link's Blacklist) Ganon looks as scary as possible (i think) and just belongs into this list of the maybe most awesome submissions to GAHQ in the last week. This one was drawn and submitted by from the UK
Lara Croft. Tomb Raider. Detailed. Beautiful. And not friggin focussing on her oldschool or new Tomb Raider 2013 looks but adding a new twist to her design. I have seen a ton Lara Croft fan art pieces, but this one is definitive outstanding. Made by from Malaysia
Unusual Super Mario Bros fan art is nothing new, but often something very interesting when it is crossing the colorful Nintendo characters with darker and more serious looking styles. This one combines Mario and Mike Mignolia and was made by from Denmark
Badass Sonic is Badass! This is the latest game character drawn by from the UK and part of a ongoing series by him. I look forward to many more game characters drawn in that style!
Some love for the Indie Game Series "Shank" here, a nice pair of beat em ups released for the pc and i think xbl too. This one was drawn by from Nigeria. Damn..Game Art HQ really IS international.
No week without Final Fantasy VII Submissions..thats just like an unwritten rule. This one is something unusual though since it is not illustration Cloud, Tifa or Sephiroth or any of the other popular FFVII characters but instead one of the many places of FFVII. Kudos to from france for this one
"This is my first good WoW fan art" writes from russia in her description of this one. I dont know if thats true since i did not look through her previous works, but i agree that this IS a good WoW fan art.

And here the final featured artwork submitted to last week. Drawn with Pencils and something super traditional they call paper in the A4 format.
A nice Dead Space III art by the Russian artist Excellent work!
Thanks everyone of you for submitting your art to our group, its always great to see that Game Art HQ grew up to be as established as it is now.

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
