Today with one day delay since i was most away at the weekend, but here we go with our first February 2013 edition of the weekly submission feature!
BTW Game Art HQ is not the only website who lost a ton of views due to the new image search, you won't like it but deviantART got the smallest visitornumbers since 4 months yesterday which is around 500000 less visitors than usual (before google updated their image search with the giant thumbs) I wonder how that will affect dA financially.
But let's start now!

Atmospheric game art here based on the Darkroot Garden in Darksouls and made by . I guess art like that could be a part of the stages/background game art project we discussed here a while ago.
This was a commission but ..OMG? Not that there is a lot Suikoden Series fan art anyway, but this one is also damn well done and shows a bit humor as well, those among you who played the whole Suikoden Series will know what i mean This was drawn by from the Philippines!
Never was a big fan of the whole "furry" trend here on dA but those "Mass Ferrets" are a super funny Idea which was well executed here by from Russia. This is actually a poster made for an event by the name "Press Paws"
There are so damn many Legenmd of Zelda game fana rt pieces that it is difficult to create something really outstanding anymore. The monster illustrations for our Art Project Link's Blacklist are such a thing..but this photomanipulation here by from Canada for sure as well. Excellent work.
Classic Mario is Classic! This one might not be super detailed and have a ton of effects, but it looks at least as good as the classic Super Mario Bros illustrations (i believe) and thats some game art which should not be forgotten. It brings me to the idea of a contest about emulating classic game art maybe..wow! This one was made by from the USA
Let's stick to Nintendo for the last featured submission of this week. This is the latest Pokemon Art by from the Netherlands who was featured with an interview on our website lately and created a spectactular series of Pokemon Redesigns
Like usual, the latest submissions for our ongoing Art Projects are getting featured here as well!

The Mortal Kombat Tribute. After a good while the big MK Tribute is active again and only around 40 more spots are still free. 40 of over 250.
Blaze from MKDA, Raiden from MK vs DC, Kitana from MKDA, Motaro from MKA, Hsu Hao from MKDA and Stryker from MK3 are all drawn and submitted for the Tribute now

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.

This week we got a good handful new additions as well that range from Ulala from Space Channel 5 by Sega, 3 lovely characters from the old Legend of Zelda: Oracle games on the Game Boy by Capcom actually, Sir Daniel Fortesque from Medievil, Reptile f
