Update 30.04:
Over 30 new artists are on board, all around 70 remaining Pokemon Gen II Slots will only be available to artist that participated in GA-HQ Collaborations already from tomorrow on. So if you never participated in a Game-Art-HQ Art collaboration and want to get on board, today is your last chance!
Last year we started our Pokemon Gen I Tribute which resulted in over 300 illustrations of the 151 classic Pokemon and used them to describe the Pokemon as well as their abilities and a ton of background info of the whole Pokemon series and how it started back in 1996. *
This year it is all about continuing this big Art Jam with the 100 Generation II Pokemon from Pokemon Gold and Silver.
:thumb666939992:
Artists that participated in the Pokemon Gen I Tribute or other Game-Art-HQ Art Projects had the chance to claim and draw the Gen II Pokemon in March already and almost all of the 100 were claimed already.
Now it is YOUR chance during the whole April to participate in this project! All 100 Gen II Pokemon are available for you, the new faces in this group, every Pokemonc an be claimed by one of you.
The theme of this art collaboration is that you illustrate one of the Gen II Pokemon using one of its moves or abilities, just like in the examples you saw above. Important is also that you use a .png file and don't add any background details, the focus should be 100% on the Pokemon itself.
The illustrations will be used on Game-Art-HQ.com, the team of us writers , , is creating galleries with descriptions about the 100 Gen II Pokemon, the moves they use and again background info about the development of the Pokemon games and especially the Generation II ones. Every artist is not only getting credited but also getting a recommendation to visit his/her gallery here on dA as well, I recommend to visit our Gen I Tribute to see how we are doing it.
* You can see the Pokemon Gen I Tribute here: www.game-art-hq.com/98200/we-a…
Enough of the talking, now its time for claiming! Pick your Pokemon and also mention which move or ability it is going to use in your illustration which can be a drawing with all kinds of tools, be a sculpture etc!
The deadline is one month from the day you claimed a slot.

Happy Trivia:
Our Gen II Tribute started on the 1st March via our not so known Contributor group and 85 artists that participated in previous Game-Art-HQ collaborations joined this project during March.
It set a new record with over 40 artists joining a GA-HQ Project on its first day
The first of the 100 Gen II Pokemon was drawn on the 1st March already, short before 12 PM
The first artist of those who never participated in Ga-HQ Projects before and joined our Gen II tribute was on the 2nd April, around 20 Minutes after this journal was online.
Around 70 of the 100 Gen II Pokemon were drawn during March
While over 80 artists that joined the Gen I or other Game-Art-HQ Art Collaborations before participated already in March, we hoped to get around 25-30 "new faces" on board during April. We had 16 new artists together by the 12th April.
The first Gen II Pokemon by new artists was Porygon 2 by Cortoony. It was submitted on the 3rd April already
The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
