The first small wave of submissions arrived already!
It is finally time for the "good" equivalent to our big Legend of Zelda Fan Art Collaboration - Link's Blacklist!
While we illustrated over 150 different monsters and bosses of the Zelda series now and got promoted at Game-Art-HQ.com on websites like Kotaku, Destructoid, Nintendofan, Chip, ZeldaDungeon and a lot more websites, we are going to start the second Zelda Art Collaboration now with the goal to get many awesome fan art about the many non playable protagonists and friendly characters in the Legend of Zelda games.
From the popular characters like Midna, Navi, Fi and Medli to rather unknown ones like Keaton or even the Flute Boy from Zelda ALTTP we are going to create the next big Zelda Art Project.
As usual the artworks will be featured and used for galleries similar to the ones in Link's Blacklist on Game-Art-HQ.com where the fan art pieces will be accompanied with descriptions of the characters, official illustrations (if there are any) and screenshots to give readers a picture about the roles of the characters in the games.
The rules are the following:
Every character who was already claimed by an artist can be claimed by up to two more artists, so we have three different takes on Midna as example, if there are four artists who want to claim her
Every artist can only claim ONE character for this project, so be sure you claim a character you really want!
The deadline is the 15th Januar 2014
Like Link's Blacklist too, this project will be continued if the demand is there, and when i look at the Blacklist..i know there will be a 2nd round next year for sure
Like the monsters or bosses had to be the main element in the Link's Blacklist images, the protagonists / friendly characters have to be the main focus on the Link's Friendlist submissions. You are allowed to draw enemies or Link & Zelda in the submissions too, but they are not allowed to be the main element of the artworks. The deviations for the first round, must be drawn or based on 3d Models.
The first round of Link's Friendlist is only for characters from the console Zelda games, the handheld games would be supported in a 2nd round.
Link and Princess Zelda can not be claimed for Link's Friendlist, exception is Zelda's alter ego Sheik from OoT and her Tetra design from Wind Waker
To claim a character, simply comment here!
Last but not least, but it should be mentioned: Not every artist can partipate in this Art Collaboration, the illustrations will most likely be seen by over hundredthousand of visitors in just 3-6 months on Game-Art-HQ.com, if you are not as experienced than the majority of the artists who were accepted, it is better that you wait and practise until you are on a similar experience level.

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.
