Hello everyone!
I was thinking about a Pokemon related art colaboration of our community since 2012 actually. However, we started Link's Blacklist, Anniversary Tributes for Final Fantasy, MegaMan, Doom and a good couple of other collaborations and honestly, it was a bit too much for me to take care about on the website since I did that all alone. Thats more or less the reason why we are not doing any big Art Tributes right now but the Art Challenges instead.
I always wanted to do something Pokemon related however since the games are fun, the Pokemon creatures fun to draw and from the weekly submissions I know that many of you are drawing Pokemon fan art anyway.
I had a few ideas and contacted I bet many of you know his works like the one above. He is re-imagining the Pokemons and draws them like they could be Monsters in the Monster Hunter Universe.
He wrote:
"Might be neat to have a pokedex filled with pokemon interpreted into the style of other games sorta like what I did with the monster hunter versions of pokemon I've been doing. You could have all sorts of cool crossovers, like final fantasy rayquaza or gears of war genesect."
This got me to the following Game-Art-HQ Pokedex Art Project Idea:
Every Pokemon could be claimed by four artists.
1 Artist can claim to draw the Pokemon in its original look
1 Artist can claim the challenge to draw the Pokemon in a realistic look
1 Artist can claim a crossover submission like Arvalis described it. It could be a Pikachu re-imagined as a Boss in a Zelda game or as an enemy in a Mario game etc. All kinds of re-imaginings would be possible as long as they are crossing two or more different video game series.
1 artist could claim a redesign of a Pokemon. This can include to make a human form out of a Pokemon or simply to make an evil version, or a scary one.
Only a couple of Pokemons would be able to claim in a month so that only around 15-20 group members have the chance to be involved. This project could run for years while it grows slowly.

The GA-HQ Interview #1!
Just a few days ago I had the idea to use a weekly journal to let 1-3 group members introduce themselves a bit through a few questions I ask them about their games, art, dA and other topics.
Both of the first two artists are members of Game-Art-HQ since years now, Mortalshinobi even since the start back in 2012!
Despite the changes at dA, please have a good read, I hope these interviews are fun to read, and help to get to know some of the group members a bit better!
Cheers and a nice weekend everyone!

It is time to find alternatives.
DeviantART was an awesome place when I joined it in ..I think 2010.
I created a Mortal Kombat group which became one of the biggest one for that game series here, also :iconfighting-game-elite: which is one of the most active and biggest fighting game related groups now and of course Game-Art-HQ with its over 9000 members ..I bet it is the most active and maybe among the biggest groups here on dA as well now and since years.
But deviantART changed. It changed this, it changed that. It became...worse.
Now in 2020 I am unhappy with many of the changes which made a great navigation more and more difficult with the times ..but Eclipse is the
Weekly Group Interview Idea
Heya, I had the idea recently to do a weekly journal with an interview between me and Game-Art-HQ Group members.
I would ask you 5-8 questions related to video games, art, deviantART and other related topics.
If you find this idea funny and you would like to be featured, simply mention it via a comment or directly PM me
Greets and a ..healthy good time everyone!

Our GA-HQ Character Collab!
We have a big video game character art collaboration, organized in rounds here since years, the last one started in February and over 30 more game characters were drawn in the style of their artists, but always with the same guidelines: Full Body, no Background via a .png file.

Well...despite the last pokemon game I played was way back to the RED. I'd totally be onboard with this!
